On Wednesday 12 July, Julien Denormandie, former Minister for Urban Affairs and Housing and current Chief Impact Officer (CIO) at SWEEP, was invited to the Etude 14 Pyramides Notaires to discuss the challenges facing the property sector in the context of the energy transition.

Recent years have shown that the fight against climate change is the challenge of the century; it is now essential to support the various stakeholders in finding robust tools that will enable them to successfully achieve their climate targets and make a successful transition to sustainable models that effectively tackle greenhouse gas emissions.
During this plenary session, the importance was emphasised of implementing a housing and urban development policy aimed at adapting cities to global warming, reintroducing sustainable materials into construction, and, finally, reducing the energy consumption of buildings.
